Welcome to my precious purl blog where I intend throwing a few pearls around as well as work a few purls with my needles for you all to see.
My resolution for 2010 is to get out there and share my love of colourful fibres and textiles in all their wonderful variations and styles. This passion of mine has been the driving force behind my desire to open a shop in Melbourne where I could gather my treasures and offer them to the discerning buyer, whether she (yes it's mostly she) is a fibre artist, a felter, a knitter (maybe purler or crocheter), a spinner and weaver, a doll maker or a fashionista .

I've been thrilled that since opening in March 2009, many customers have come to know and love the eclectic mix served up to them at Precious Purl in Brunswick St, Fitzroy. Some even refer to our small space as Aladdin's cave, a description which fits in very nicely with our vision for this space of ours.
