Knitting Workshop with Jude Skeers

Jude Skeers, Master knitter will run a workshop featuring the skills, design techniques and principles in knitting a sampler of this Long Line vest made with Lara Downs Superfine Kid Mohair.

Participants will use provisional cast on, 3 needle cast off, picking up stitches to create a band, lace and cable patterns and will also look at the techniques involved in the famous

Elizabeth Zimmerman Surprise Jacket knitted from the bottom up!

Jude has had Major exhibitions of his knitted webs, trees and other sculptures and also teaches Australia wide.

We are looking forward to him teaching at Precious Purl and if you are looking to extend your knitting skills this workshop is for you.

Birthday giveaway and Vic Feltmakers.

I finally had a chance to catch up with Narelle, the winner of our Precious Purl Birthday giveaway, at the Vic Feltmakers monthly meeting in Hartwell yesterday. I had been invited as a trader and had a wonderful time meeting many new friends and catching up with many familiar faces from our customer base.

Narelle, the workshop coordinator for Feltmakers, was a delighted winner, never having won anything!!! she says.
